Profile

AI engineer who owns the whole arc: I embed with customer teams, lead discovery to find the real bottleneck, then design, build, and ship the production system end-to-end — and stay on it through rollout, iteration, and the real-world edges. I've taken a first version from a one-day prototype to a system teams rely on daily, and I care about what survives production, not what demos well. I've also published peer-reviewed research in applied quantum computing. What I build is shaped by the people who use it.

Experience

Zetane Systems Inc.

MontréalJan 2022 — Present

Lead AI Solutions Architect (2025—present) · formerly Software Developer

Joined as an early engineer and grew into the lead on AI solutions and client delivery — from first commit to the source-grounded platform behind the company's first external raise. The two products I'm most responsible for, then the foundations under them.

Pomerleau — AI estimating & cost-prediction

sole technical owner · 2022—present · one of Canada's largest construction firms (~$1B revenue)

AI cost prediction (in production): forecasts new-project costs from just two inputs — area + project type. Ensemble of Ridge regressors with per-cohort bias correction, ~12–13% MAPE on a leave-one-out benchmark. In daily use; publicly announced by Pomerleau.

Full estimating stack: interactive plan takeoff (PDF overlay, automatic corner detection), work-breakdown structure, priced estimate generation — "drawings in, dollars out."

Shipped a complete v2 in 2026 — rebuilt frontend and backend with a more sophisticated prediction engine, co-designed with the estimators to re-engage a disillusioned team; adoption now growing from ~15 toward 40 users across Canada.

Production ops: own the full deploy pipeline (Docker → ECR → ECS Fargate → ALB → RDS; AWS ca-central-1, WAF data-residency, IAM least-privilege) — 100% frontend availability and zero backend 5xx over the last 30 days, p95 ~200 ms; SOC 2-track posture.

Zetane Platform — enterprise document intelligence

2024—present

Source-grounded citation system — designed and built it: verifiable, paragraph-level provenance for every AI answer, with a PDF overlay that jumps to the exact cited passage across thousand-page documents. The capability that pivoted Zetane from developer tooling to enterprise document intelligence — still rare in production when it shipped (2025).

RAG pipeline: parsing, map-reduce retrieval over large corpora, grounded generation — first working version shipped in a single afternoon. Built the product's early in-chat tool-use and the chat UI (streaming, document QA, citations).

Agent execution sandbox: prototyped a Kubernetes system that runs autonomous coding agents in parallel — isolated git worktrees per agent, browser + computer-use, strict isolation for safe parallel execution.

Platform foundations & identity

2022—2025

Architected the multi-tenant SaaS foundation — front-end federation, accounts, roles, billing — that the Zetane Platform was built on. Authored the authorization stack: OIDC (Auth0, then Okta — including the production Okta integration for the flagship client) and fine-grained multi-tenant authorization.
